세계 모바일 업체들의 경연장인 모바일 월드 컨퍼런스에서 HTC는 안드로이드 폰 2종을 내세워 안드로이드 진영에서의 입지를 확보에 실속있는 접근을 하고 있다.  구차한 언론 플레이라기 보다는 제품의 디자인과 제품 어플리케이션 간의 전환체계와 같은 작지만 커다란 영향을 갖고 있는 분야에서의 개선을 통해 실질적인 접근을 시도하고 있다는 점에서 역시 중국인다운 비즈니스 접근을 시도하고 있다. 

이번에 발표된 안드로이드폰은 기존 프로젝트 단계에서 명명된 Bravo가 Desire라는 이름으로 발표되었고, 이미 많은 관심의 대상이 되었던 Legend의 2종이다.  안드로이드폰의 출시는 모토로라보다 뒤졌으나, 구글의 공식 핸드폰으로 선정되어 실리를 더욱 챙긴듯한 느낌마져 들게 하는 HTC는 두종의 신제품을 출시하여 안드로이드 계열 제품의 생산업체로써 위상 굳히기에 들어간 느낌을 들게하고 있다.  거기에 덧붙여 어플리케이션간의 이동을 쉽게 하기 위하여 애플의 기능을 벤치마킹한 "헬리콥터 뷰"라는 기능을 첨가하여 한층 더 발전되고 세련된 접근을 시도하고 있다는 점은 특히 주목할만 하다.  헬리콥터 뷰는 현재 보고 있는 어플리케이션을 두 손가락으로 축소시키면 활성중인 어플리케이션을 동시에 보여주는 창으로 전환되는 기능이다.  별것 아닌 것 같아도 사용자의 편의성을 증대시키는 매우 중요한 요소에서 개선을 생각하고 실용적인 어플리케이션 디자인을 하였다는 점에서 입으로만 애플 잡기에 혈안이 된 헛물켜기 포장 기사의 사상누각을 만드는 삼성보다 월등히 앞선 방식으로 시장대응을 하고 있다.  아이콘의 표현에 있어서도 매우 눈에 잘들어오도록 핵심적인 요소를 바다보다도 더 잘 표현하고 있다는 점도 지적하지 않을 수 없다.
